PROFESSOR WANG JIN-HUAI

1935-2002

Professor Wang was the original inspiration for ATS when he took Andrew Nugent-Head under his wing in 1987 and the two of them began documenting the last old practitioners who were born and educated prior to 1949. Calligrapher, scholar, and healer extraordinare, he was awarded Person of Special Talent status in the USA in 1996 and moved to New York to teach China's traditional arts free of government influence.

DR. XIE PEIQI

1920-2003

The last traditional practitioner trained in the complete art of Yin Style Bagua, Dr. Xie Peiqi embraced the ATS vision of preservation, documentation and dissemination and recorded the system in book and video format as well as openly taught everything he could during the last 10 years of his life. ATS is built on his dedication and commitment to documenting one of the last great systems in China.

PROFESSOR LI HONGXIANG

1924-2017

During ATS' final years working in China, Professor Li Hongxiang was the guiding light of what everything could and should be in a traditional scholar/practitioner. Taking ATS founder Andrew Nugent-Head on as his Closing Door Disciple, he made Andrew promise to never lower the standard or expectation of a true lineage carrier–whoever they were and wherever they were from.
